MOSTAR, April 28 (FENA) - A 66-year-old woman from Konjic passed away last night at the Covid-19 hospital of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar.
The patient, born in 1954, from Konjic, had been hospitalized since March 23 and had multiple comorbidities.
"Due to the severity of the clinical state, she needed intensive treatment and mechanical ventilation, and a tracheotomy was done 14 days later.
The patient was stable in the previous days, but irreversible respiratory collapse suddenly occurred around 22.00 hrs. last night and, despite the resuscitation attempts the patient died. The patient had clinical, epidemiological and radiological characteristics of a Covid-19 patient," stated the Civil Protection Staff of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
Athe moment, 20 patients are being treated at Mostar's Covid-19 hospital, three of whom are on a ventilator and have a severe clinical condition and three are on supportive oxygen therapy. The other patients are stable without deterioration of their state. One patient was discharged for home treatment.
In the last 24 hours, 137 samples were tested at the University Clinical Hospital Mostar for Covid-19, and there were five positive cases in the HNC area, all from Mostar.
