SARAJEVO, April 30 (FENA) - Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hani bin Abdullah Mominah, handed over a valuable donation today, some 1,000 iftar aid packages, to be distributed to socially vulnerable families.
“We have gathered here to mark the project of King Selman bin Abdulaziz's distribution of iftar aid packages, covering 18 countries. The priority is our friendly people of BiH,” the Ambassador emphasized, adding that this project involves about five million people worldwide.
The Ambassador congratulated the citizens of BiH on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, pointing out that it is common during this month for families and society to come closer together, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, physical contact is limited and families are "still close" in their hearts.
Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of the Sarajevo Canton Jasna Agić thanked the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to BiH for helping the Sarajevo Canton, but also the whole BiH in these difficult times.
City of Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka also attended the ceremony and said the project is evidence of good cooperation between the two countries and clear support of the Kingdom for the people of BiH.
