SARAJEVO, May 21 (FENA) - The blackmail of SNSD President Milorad Dodik, according to which the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina should challenge the election of new members of the Central Election Commission, and only then will the Council of Ministers provide money for the elections, is unacceptable pressure and interference in the work of the judiciary, the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) said.
The SDA believes that the election of new members of the Central Election Commission was conducted in accordance with the clear provisions of the Election Law, and all appeals should be considered by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina without any political pressure or interference.
The legal obligation of the Council of Ministers is, fifteen days after the announcement of the elections, to provide funds for the preparation and conduct of the elections, regardless of the decision of the Court of BiH concerning the election of CEC members.
The SDA calls on Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija, to implement its legal obligation, and provide money for the elections and enable the necessary preparations for the elections to be carried out in a timely manner.
