SARAJEVO, May 26 (FENA) - A delegation of the BiH Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina marked the Day of the Martyrs at the memorial cemetery "Kovači" in Sarajevo.
BiH Minister of Defense Sifet Podžić and Chief of the Joint Staff of the AF BiH Lieutenant General Senad Mašović led the delegation, and a large number of citizens and representatives of the Islamic Community in BiH led by Deputy Raisu-l-ulama Enes effendi Ljevaković gathered in Kovači.
Members of the delegation said Al-Fatiha prayer and laid flowers and wreaths to pay tribute to those who gave their lives to defend their country. According to the Islamic Community in BiH, the Day of the Martyrs is marked on the second day of Eid al-Fitr, the Ministry of Defense of BiH announced.
