SDA: No more dilemmas that Prosecution initiated politically motivated process

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 31 (FENA) - Following the decision of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejecting the Prosecutor's Office's request for custody of the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, all dilemmas that the Prosecutor's Office initiated a politically motivated process have been removed, it is stated in the first reaction of SDA BiH to the decision of the Court of BiH.

“The goal of the Prosecutor's Office was obviously not to establish the facts, but to discredit Prime Minister Novalić at all costs and keep him in custody for as long as possible, in order to question his function and weaken the Bosniak factor within the FBiH Government. The refusal to detain represents a professional disgrace to Gordana Tadić and prosecutors who authorized her to work on this case outside the prescribed procedures. This is also strong evidence that detention of the prime minister was exclusively politically motivated, which is a first-class judicial scandal,” they added in the statement.

They also call on members of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council to initiate the procedure of dismissal of Gordana Tadić from the position of the chief prosecutor, for trying to change the constitutional order in the Federation of BiH and permanently damaging the reputation of the Prosecutor's Office and losing public confidence in the institution's independence.
