SARAJEVO, June 22 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović received Ambassador of Swiss Confederation to BiH Andrea Rauber Saxer in a farewell visit. Ambassador expressed appreciation for good cooperation, emphasizing that Switzerland remains committed to friendly relations and cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The officials discussed health and economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, and Chairman Džaferović used the opportunity to thank Switzerland for the assistance provided for BiH, the Presidency of BiH announced.
Ambassador Rauber Saxer emphasized that, although BiH is not a member of the EU, Switzerland supports Bosnia and Herzegovina's path towards European integration. It was jointly assessed that the cooperation the two countries provide to each other in international organizations is also very important.
Chairman Džaferović expressed satisfaction with the friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, to which Ambassador Rauber Saxer also contributed during her term of office.
Džaferović assessed projects in the field of economy, employment, health, development of democracy, and communal services, which are supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in BiH, as especially important.
