SREBRENICA, July 7 (FENA) - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Bisera Turković visited the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center today where she laid flowers, paid tribute to the victims of genocide and said Al-Fatiha prayer.
Minister Turković said on this occasion that coming to Srebrenica is always with sadness and concern, considering that after so many years, there are still problems in that area that should have been eliminated a long time ago.
“These people here remind us how much was given for the fight for Bosnia and Herzegovina, how much was given for their home, family. It seems to me that we are not aware enough and we do not show enough attention, love, compassion for them and their families, as well as for the justice that needs to be achieved, given that this is a tragedy that has no borders,” said Turković.
She pointed out that "people still cannot walk freely in neighboring countries, they are still arrested, there is fear, false lists of something that has been done or not done."
She added that it is "quite clear who are those who violate justice" and that there is still no clear information from the prosecutor's offices on how far we have come with the verdicts of those accused, how many there are, how many verdicts have been revoked, what the facts are.
After laying flowers and paying tribute to the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, Turković, accompanied by the director of the Memorial Center Emir Suljagić, visited the complex of this center.
During her visit to Srebrenica, Minister Turković also met with members of the association of Mothers of Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves.
