POTOČARI, July 11 (FENA) - Former President of the United States Bill Clinton said today that July 11 is much more than a dark time in the history of BiH and the world and that it is a disturbing reminder to all those who forget their humanity.

In his address marking the 25th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, Clinton said he would never forget the 20th anniversary when he visited Potočari.

„It was really touching for me. I use every opportunity to continue to give my voice to those around the world who mourn at tombstones, to support continued efforts to achieve justice for those who are no longer with us and to find their remains so they can find eternal peace,“ Clinton pointed out.

He emphasized that conflicts based on political, racial, and religious affiliation are spreading around the world today and that they continue to cause unbearable suffering and losses.

„Too many people on earth today can personally identify with the mothers of Srebrenica, and 25 years later we don't seem to have learned much,“ Clinton said.

He believes that it is now more important for everyone to remember that true democracy requires a commitment to an inclusive society and a commitment to the rule of law.

He expressed hope that in the next 25 years, all BiH citizens and everyone around the world who wishes them well will remember July 11 and work harder to maintain peace, grow the economy and build a future for their children.
