PRIJEDOR, July 20 (FENA) - Collective funeral for six victims from Prijedor, killed in 1992, began at noon on the plateau of the Kamičani Memorial Center in Kozarac.
Five of these victims were found at the Koričanske stijene site. The remains of Nihad Memić, Rifet Hirkić, Mirsad Fazlić, Jasim Fazlić and Esad Garibović were found. The sixth victim, Enes Denić, was found at the Jablanica-Prosara site, near Bosanska Gradiška.
Head of the Islamic Community in BiH, Reais-l-ulama Husein effendi Kavazović is expected to address the present, and the collective burial is also attended by the President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of BiH Bakir Izetbegović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović, FBiH Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramić, member of parliament from "Together for BiH" group in the RS National Assembly, Senad Bratić, President of the Assembly of the City of Prijedor, Ajdin Mešić and many other guests.
A sad convoy with coffins arrived in Kamičani last night from the identification center "Šejkovača" in Sanski Most.
Head of the regional office of the Institute for the Search for Missing Persons for the Bosnian Krajina, Mujo Begić emphasized that a large number of innocent people were still being searched for.
“The killed Bosniaks were thrown into individual, joint and mass graves. So far, the remains of the killed Prijedor citizens have been found at 499 locations, in 73 mass graves, primary and secondary, in the area of 10 municipalities and three different countries,” stressed Begić earlier.
