SARAJEVO, July 24 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović talked today with the UN Resident Coordinator in BiH Ingrid McDonald about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interlocutors praised the intensive and good cooperation between BiH and the UN and UNDP Offices in Sarajevo and stressed the commitment to continue working on activities undertaken to maintain international peace and security, promote and protect human rights, achieve sustainable development, including the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, poverty reduction, conflict prevention and the fight against terrorism.
The UN and Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to cooperate in the context of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the United Nations program for Bosnia and Herzegovina (2021-2025).
Izetbegović pointed out that BiH would continue giving its contribution within the UN and that activities in BiH related to the process of European integration and harmonization with the EU are at the center of political events in BiH towards the stabilization of the situation and accelerating the ongoing reform processes, the SDA stated.
