SARAJEVO, August 18 (FENA) - Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Operations, Major General Ivica Jerkić received today in an inaugural visit the Military Envoy of the Republic of Romania to BiH, Brigadier Robertino Cristian Ciobanu, and the incumbent envoy of this country, Brigadier Bogdan Ionescu in a farewell visit.
During the visit, the two sides spoke about cooperation of the Armed Forces of the two friendly countries, as well as the need to improve future cooperation in all areas where there are capacities both in Romania and BiH.
General Jerkić thanked the incumbent military envoy, Brigadier Ionescu, for the achieved results in terms of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and wished the newly appointed military envoy, Brigadier Ciobanu, a successful mandate in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The departing Romanian military envoy Ionescu and the newly appointed Brigadier Ciobanu were received at the headquarters of the BiH Ministry of Defense by Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović, stated the BiH Ministry of Defense.
