SARAJEVO, August 25 (FENA) - The DKR German Robotics Center Tuzla organized five webinars in June, July and August this year on the topic "Industrial Robotics and Automation" with the aim of raising awareness of the possibilities of digital transformation and robotics in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), but also the use of available resources in the functioning of the domestic economy.
This activity was part of the "Covid-19 Response" campaign and was supported by the Innovation and Digitization in SMEs in BiH, a project implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German government. A total of 100 participants took part in these digital events.
"By 2022, almost four million industrial robots are expected to work in factories around the world. These robots will play a vital role in automating production to accelerate the post-Covid economy. At the same time, robots are driving demand for skilled labor. Education systems must adapt effectively to this requirement, it is said in a statement of the International Robotics Union that perfectly depicts the future of manufacturing plants and employment trends.
"Although there are no official data on the number of robots used in companies in the Federation of BiH, it can be said that BiH belongs to the group of countries with a low degree of robotization," explained Almin Mališević from the Sector for Industry and Services of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH.
