BiH CoM appoints institution to sign procurement framework agreements

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, August 25 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today's extraordinary telephone session, adopted the Information on the identification of the competent institution and contact person for signing framework agreements within the Agreement on Joint Procurement of Medical Countermeasures.

The BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs has been identified as the competent institution for concluding framework agreements within the Agreement on Joint Procurement of Medical Countermeasures, which allows Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in EU public procurement of medicines and medical devices to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH, Ankica Gudeljević, is authorized to sign framework agreements within the framework of that agreement on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the basis of the expressed needs of the Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH and the Brčko District.

If one of the entities or the Brčko District does not express interest in a particular procurement, Minister Gudeljević will, on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sign a framework agreement relating to the entity or Brčko District that has expressed interest.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH has been tasked to prepare a proposal for a decision on approving the current reserve funds of the budget of BiH institutions and international obligations of BiH in order to provide the necessary funds for storage, shipping and transport costs arising from framework agreements.
