MOSTAR, August 28 (FENA) - In the first half of 2020, revenues from indirect taxes belonging to FBiH are lower by nine percent compared to the same period last year, and in the same period the internal and external debt of the Federation of BiH increased, said FBiH Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević.
“According to analyses and data, implementation of the budget is at the expected levels. We had total revenue of 1.673 billion KM, which is 51 percent of what was planned according to the adopted budget revision. These indicators are incomparable with the revenues generated last year because in 2019 the revenues of the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute (PIO/MIO) were not included because then the MIO / PIO Institute did not have a budget beneficiary status,” said Minister Milićević at a press conference after the FBiH Government session.
She added that tax revenues in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year were lower by nine percent, which required increased sources of funding from other sources, which resulted in an increase in the FBIH indebtedness in the second quarter.
“The external debt of the Federation of BiH amounts to 4.898 billion KM and is higher by 6.87 percent. The largest indebtedness within this increase is related to the arrangement with the International Monetary Fund and it amounted to 398.5 million KM. The internal debt as of June 30, 2020 is 865 million KM and is higher by 19 percent or nominally by 138 million and is related to two auctions of treasury bonds,” the Minister of Finance added.
