SARAJEVO, August 31 (FENA) - The Constitutional-Legal Committee of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH considered five laws, proposed by the House of Representatives of the state parliament, and only one law was in compliance with the Constitution and legal system of BiH.
This is the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Consumer Protection in BiH, which more clearly defines the way of marking retail prices.
As stated in the explanation of the proposed law, the current provisions of the law are interpreted differently in individual cantons and cities and point to inconsistencies in the issue of product price highlighting.
With the proposed amendments, the provisions of the law dealing with the type and characteristics of products that must have a marked shelf life and are harmonized with the regulation of the European Union.
The Constitutional-Legal Committee has not determined compliance with the Constitution and legal system of BiH for: Bill on Amendments to the Law on Excise Duties in BiH, Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Compensations in BiH Institutions, Bill on mandatory contributions of officials in BiH Institutions to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, and for the Bill on the Law on Extraordinary Austerity Measures in the Institutions of BiH due to the COVID-19 pandemic, proposed by the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH.
The bill on extraordinary austerity measures in BiH institutions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, among other things, envisages a ban on the use of funds earmarked for representation expenses in BiH institutions until the end of this year, the abolition of the right to holiday allowance, jubilee awards and education fees and professional development during 2020.
The bill on mandatory contributions of officials in BiH institutions for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic defines that during this year officials allocate 20 percent of the salary to a special fund for the fight against the coronavirus.
