SARAJEVO, September 1 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović today strongly condemned the attacks against Bosniaks in Pljevlja, but also attacks on political rivals in Montenegro, which took place after Sunday's parliamentary elections in that country.

"It is difficult for all of us when we see so many outbursts of hatred, images and messages that remind us of the time of the war in BiH. Today, however, the circumstances and times are different. I want Montenegro to continue on the European and NATO path, the path of relaxation of interethnic relations, and all that was being done under the leadership of the President of Montenegro, Mile Đukanović," said Džaferović.

It would be good, he said, for the citizens of Montenegro, but also for the region, for Montenegro to continue on its European and NATO path, because such a path is the best for everyone.

"It is terrible to see these outbursts of hatred and attacks on Bosniaks and political rivals. It is a barbaric act. That is not the way to do things. This is not how civilized people behave when they lose and when they win. You respect the rights of others," said Džaferović.

He believes that the current events cannot reflect much on BiH, because, as he emphasized, "BiH paid greatly for its freedom and there is no such event in the region or in the world that could affect its path to the EU and NATO."
