SARAJEVO, September 9 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Staša Košarac talked today in Sarajevo with Chinese Ambassador to BiH Ji Ping about the enhancement of economic relations between the two countries.
The meeting was held at the residence of the Chinese Embassy, and officials stated that bilateral relations between BiH and China are good and friendly and that foreign trade cooperation should be intensified and improved.
The focus of the talks between Minister Košarac and Ambassador Ji Ping was the possibility of placing milk and dairy products from BiH on the Chinese market after BiH filled out a questionnaire for the export of these goods to China.
It was pointed out that the Chinese side is currently analyzing the submitted questionnaire for the export of milk and dairy products from BiH, followed by a risk assessment process, in which Chinese inspectors will come to BiH to verify production capacity.
Minister Košarac and Ambassador Ji Ping also discussed the export of wine from BiH to the Chinese market. Košarac pointed out the need to improve this process in order to improve the business of domestic wine producers in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic.
Ambassador Ji Ping sent an invitation to Minister Košarac to the import food fair, which will be held in Shanghai in November, in order to improve the foreign trade cooperation between BiH and China.
