HJPC BiH is initiating the procedure for the election of new members

SARAJEVO, September 14 (FENA) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) has scheduled a two-day session for September 15 and 16, at which, among other things, the procedure for electing new members of this regulatory body will be initiated.

It is a procedure initiated due to the fact that in 2021, the mandates of a larger number of members of the HJPC expires, FENA learns from that institution.

Namely, in the period from January to September 2021, the mandates of the following members are to expire - Amila Kunosić, Goran Nezirević, Dragomir Vukoja, Selim Karamehić, Mahmut Švraka and Berina Alihodžić.

The agenda of the session also includes Information on the Draft Amendments to the Law on the HJPC of BiH, as well as Information on Amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the HJPC.

At the same time, the agenda includes Information on the budget of the HJPC BiH for 2020, and the development of the Judicial Information and Communication Strategy in BiH, as well as the Report on the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission for the HJPC BiH and the BiH judiciary.

Also, it is planned for the HJPC to elect a new representative to the Supervisory Body for monitoring the implementation of the National Strategy for Work on War Crimes Cases (the project "Improvement of Work on War Crimes Cases in BiH" - IPA 2017).
