SARAJEVO, September 15 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotić visited today the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, where he met with Director Mirsad Vilić and Deputy Directors Ivica Bošnjak and Ranko Vuković.
Director Vilić welcomed Minister Cikotić and wished upon him many successes in his upcoming term. During the meeting, the activities that marked the past period were presented, as well as future planned activities related to the training of police officers and improving communication, coordination, and cooperation with other law enforcement agencies in BiH, the Directorate for Coordination of BiH Police Bodies announced.
The interlocutors also discussed the challenges faced by members of the Directorate in performing regular tasks, improving their employment status, and enacting the necessary legal regulations, all with the aim of more efficient performance of tasks within their competence.
On this occasion, Minister Cikotić and his associates visited the official premises of the Sector for International Operational Police Cooperation, which includes the Departments for Cooperation with INTERPOL, EUROPOL, and SELEC, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of this Sector and information exchange systems at the international level.
Cikotić praised the work of the Directorate and expressed satisfaction with the achieved results of the Directorate, which are measurable and successful. He provided full support in the further work of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, all with the aim of maintaining a safe environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
