SARAJEVO, September 17 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, at the initiative of FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, tasked the Public Enterprise FBiH Roads to consider the possibility of postponing the implementation of the Program "Modernization of main roads of the Federation of BiH" due to the crisis caused by coronavirus, and to simulate the execution of works of the Crnaja tunnel to make additional recordings of the intensity of traffic and only after that to propose the dynamics of the execution of actual works.
It is known that the reconstruction of the Crnaja tunnel, primarily, was announced for September 15 this year and that it should last 16 months. Aware of the fact what the slowing down, or even the suspension, of traffic on that section would mean for the economy and all traffic participants, the mentioned conclusion was adopted.
“Specifically, we ask the professional services of the FBiH Roads to monitor, analyze and determine the method of alternating traffic functioning for a longer period, so that citizens and the economy would not experience the inconveniences during the reconstruction of Crnaja tunnel. The Crnaja tunnel is located on one of the busiest roads in the Federation of BiH, and even in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I believe that we must not repeat the "mistake" of Vranduk,” said Prime Minister Novalić.
