SARAJEVO, September 23 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović talked today with the ambassadors of EU member states and Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler about BiH's European path, regional cooperation and political relations in the country.
Special attention in the videoconference was paid to meeting 14 priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission.
Džaferović pointed out that it is in BiH's vital interest to meet all the priorities of the European Commission's Opinion as soon as possible, and that significant steps have been taken since the end of April, such as resolving the Mostar elections, forming a Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee and initiating public administration reforms.
He informed the ambassadors that additional efforts are being made to speed up the resolution of the Law on Public Procurement, the Law on Conflict of Interest, the Law on the HJPC, and the adoption of the War Crimes Prosecution Strategy.
Chairman Džaferović also informed the EU ambassadors about the position of the Presidency of BiH regarding the so-called "Mini Schengen."
He stressed that any initiative that contributes to economic progress and better relations in the region will have support, but that it is important that the process be under the auspices of the European Union and its institutions, the BiH Presidency announced.
