MOSTAR, September 25 (FENA) - On the occasion of World Migrants and Refugees Day, celebrated on September 27, Pope Francis, through the Apostolic Nunciature in BiH, sent a concrete sign of support and closeness to migrants currently living in several camps in BiH and those who take care of them.
"With his donation, the Pope will support the establishment of two services for the reception and coordination of activities in the transition centers Ušivak (near Sarajevo) and Sedra (near Bihać), where unaccompanied families and minors are housed," the Apostolic Nunciature in BiH stated.
The donation will enable the supply of clothing, sanitary supplies, blankets and food, and the distribution of aid is entrusted to Catholic humanitarian organizations operating in the field: Caritas BiH, Italian Caritas, Ipsia-Aclio and the Archdiocesan Center for Youth Pastoral 'John Paul II'.
On the occasion of World Day of Migrants and Refugees, the Apostolic Nuncio to BiH, Msgr. Luigi Pezzuto said that fear and numerous prejudices keep us away from migrants and often prevent us from being close to them and serving them with love.
