SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - The total number of tourist arrivals to the Federation of BiH in August 2020 was 42.048, which is 74.2 percent less than in August 2019, and compared to July 2020, it is higher by 36.8 percent.
Share of domestic tourist arrivals was 74.6 percent, and foreign tourist’s share was 25.4 percent.
The total number of overnight stays in August 2020 in the Federation of BiH was 127.406, which is 64.6 percent less than in August 2019, and compared to July 2020, it is 41.2 percent more.
The share of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 75.5 percent, and foreign tourists 24.5 percent. According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within the type Hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 96.1 percent.
In the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists, most overnight stays were realized by tourists from Serbia (55.5 percent), Croatia (9.7 percent), the United Arab Emirates (7.1 percent), Germany (4.1 percent) and Poland (1.4 percent) which is a total of 77.8 percent. Tourists from other countries realized 22.2 percent of overnight stays, according to the FBiH Institute for Statistics.
