SARAJEVO, October 1 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Bakir Izetbegović met today with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH Ji Ping.
During the meeting, the officials pointed out that the People's Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina maintained the continuity of the existing good relations in the field of politics, culture and economy.
In the conversation about economic cooperation, Ambassador Ping, in the context of the introduction of the 5G network in BiH, pointed out that it is important for China that these activities are regulated on the market in this area in a fair and honest manner without discrimination.
Izetbegović emphasized that all such issues in BiH are always treated and conducted in accordance with the law.
The interlocutors also discussed the issues of fighting the consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and on that occasion President Izetbegović expressed the expectation that the manufacturer of imported ventilators from China would declare the quality and range of products, the SDA said.
Ambassador Ping pointed out that this type of ventilators procured is widely used throughout China, and that it has proven to be very effective when it comes to the treatment of patients with the COVID-19 virus.
President Izetbegović congratulated Ambassador Ping on the occasion of the National Day of the People's Republic of China and the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, which is celebrated on October 1, the SDA announced.
