TIRANA, October 5 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović at a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama in Tirana expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries, noting that several high-level meetings were held in the past, at a bilateral and also at a multilateral level.

Džaferović said that there is a mutual interest in improving the existing good relations. He emphasized that the opening of the BiH Embassy in Albania, but also the opening of the Albanian Embassy in BiH, will be the first step towards intensifying relations between the two countries, writes FENA's reporter from Tirana.

The EU integration paths of BiH and the Republic of Albania were discussed at the meeting, together with regional cooperation and preservation of peace and stability in the region.

Chairman Džaferović and Prime Minister Rama emphasized the importance of regional cooperation, and they also talked about the free movement of people, capital and services, i.e., the so-called 'mini Schengen'.

The topic of conversation between Džaferović and Rama was also the status of national minorities. Chairman Džaferović thanked the Prime Minister of Albania for his support to the Bosnian community, which has lived in the Republic of Albania for centuries.
