TIRANA, October 6 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović, who is on an official visit to Albania, met today in Tirana with the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
Chairman Džaferović and Mayor Veliaj discussed projects that are being implemented because Tirana and Sarajevo have been twin cities since 1996, which implies an intercity partnership between the two cities with the aim of cultural and economic exchange.
"The goal of this visit is to strengthen cooperation between the two countries because we have all the conditions for the best cooperation, but it is not yet at the level it could be. It is time to open a new page and move forward politically, economically and culturally in the bilateral, regional and Euro-Atlantic spheres. After all these meetings, I believe that this will happen," said Džaferović on this occasion.
Today, Veliaj presented Džaferović with the Key of the City of Tirana.
After the meeting with the mayor, Chairman Džaferović headed to a meeting with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania, Gramoz Ruçi.
