SARAJEVO, October 7 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to BiH Olav Reinertsen in an inaugural visit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
Turković informed the ambassador about the current internal political situation in BiH, with an emphasis on fulfilling 14 key priorities from the Opinion on the application for BiH's membership in the EU. She pointed out that a lot of political will and determination is needed to complete the work, but also a clear vision of the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Turković emphasized that it was very important to reach a compromise as soon as possible and for the NATO Integration Commission to start working in order for the Euro-Atlantic processes to be launched and for NATO member states to be ready for progress in reforms.
Ambassador Reinertsen pointed out that the Kingdom of Norway provides constant support to BiH on its path to NATO and supports BiH's activities and aspirations for membership in the European Union. He emphasized that a significant contribution to the cooperation between the two countries is made by the Bosnian diaspora in Norway, which is well integrated and highly educated and represents a great potential for future cooperation.
Minister Turković pointed out that concluding an agreement on dual citizenship between BiH and Norway would be very important for the Bosnian diaspora, and initiated activities in that area.
