Tadić: I will not answer Mektić's questions

FENA Hana Imamović

SARAJEVO, October 14 (FENA) - Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadić appeared today at a hearing before members of the Interim Investigative Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for determining the situation in BiH judicial institutions.

Tadić asked that SDS MP Dragan Mektić, who is also a member of this committee, does not attend the session, and she put the proposal to a vote.

Mektić reminded Tadić that he was elected to the Committee by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, and that he was elected to the House of Representatives by the people, so Tadić has no authority to ban his presence. The members of the Committee generally agreed with Mektić, adding that there is a principle of presumption of innocence against everyone, including Mektić, who is being prosecuted for abuse of office.

Tadić's proposal was not put to the vote because she agreed for Mektić to remain in the session, but announced that she would not answer his questions.

This Committee previously called Tadić for a hearing, but she refused, with the explanation that she had previously undertaken obligations, and she was offered 11 terms to which she could respond, which she did today.
