SARAJEVO, October 16 (FENA) - The Foreigners Affairs Service of BiH has removed 21 foreign nationals from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the basis of the Readmission Agreement, three foreign citizens were returned to the Republic of Serbia, of whom two are citizens of Afghanistan and one is a citizen of Tunisia.
In cooperation with the Foreigners Affairs Service and the International Organization for Migration, one Pakistani citizen was returned to the country of origin, while the Service independently conducted voluntary return for 17 Turkish citizens who were returned to the country of origin.
Since the beginning of 2020, 14,070 migrants have been the subject of work of the Service, of whom 302 have been migrants in the last seven days alone. There are currently 6,007 migrants residing in temporary reception centers in BiH.
Inspectors of the Service, in cooperation with police officers, carried out joint activities in the area of Sarajevo, Bihać, Velika Kladuša and Donji Vakuf.
These activities resulted in the discovery of foreign nationals who entered or resided illegally on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Service stated.
Due to illegal entry or residence, the Foreigners Affairs Service has issued an expulsion measure for 44 foreign citizens with a ban on entry and residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including citizens of Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, and Pakistan.
The mentioned persons have been placed under supervision in the Immigration Center or their movement has been restricted until they leave the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
