GORAŽDE, October 20 (FENA) - President of the Democratic Front (DF) Željko Komšić said in Goražde that the party, in his opinion, has proved that its primary interest is Bosnia and Herzegovina, and not the interest and benefit of individuals.
"First, I hope that we have not let down the citizens not only of the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton but also the whole of BiH. Of course, politics is such that it sometimes requires compromises in the name of greater and higher interest. In any case, I think, as a party, we have proved that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the common good come first, and not only, as is the practice in politics, personal interest or material gain or, as is also, unfortunately, the custom in politics, that someone uses their position or function in terms of corruption, gaining wealth, etc. There is no organization, not just a political party but also any kind of organization that is perfect. Thus, the DF is not perfect either, but we hold the line of the struggle for Bosnia and Herzegovina and for the general interest in the first place," said Komšić.
This was the case in these election cycles and in all places in Bosnia and Herzegovina where we operate and I can only hope that we have not let down the voters in the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton or in Goražde and that this will in some way prove to be a result in the elections, said the DF leader to the media.
He emphasizes that the Democratic Front will accept the electoral will of the citizens, whatever it may be, and that the policy of the party he heads will continue to be based on the same principles: for the state and against corruption and theft.
