SARAJEVO, October 20 (FENA) - Head of the SDA caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adil Osmanović, said that the strategy announced by US presidential candidate Joe Biden shows that NATO integration is a priority.
As he said in his statement, in two of the four points that speak about future cooperation between the USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Biden emphasizes the importance of our country's NATO path.
The current administration, led by President Trump, also gave strong support to NATO's path to our country, which was especially evident during the adoption of the ANP.
“It is the sovereign right of American citizens to choose who will be their new president, but it is very important for Bosnia and Herzegovina that we are in the focus of discussion at such a high level, in a very serious way, as can be seen from the published document. Unfortunately, there are political forces in our public that do not consider NATO to be the first priority and point out various other issues as more important. Even some options that present themselves as pro-Bosnian are trying to justify such a reason in our public. That is certainly wrong and immature thinking. We should keep the NATO path of BiH in focus because it is the guarantor of security and peace, and therefore the will and desire of the majority of the citizens in this country,” said Osmanović.
