SARAJEVO, October 26 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda and Director of the Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in BiH Manuela Nessl signed today an agreement on an EU grant to continue the construction of the water supply network in Gradačac.
Earlier, a loan agreement in the amount of six million euros was signed and these funds are used for the construction of the water supply network in Gradačac, and after today's signing of the grant agreement, 1,992,500 euros will be provided from EU funds to continue and finalize the works.
Bevanda emphasized that this project is extremely important for the residents of Gradačac to improve their living conditions and meet environmental standards.
"Some 150 households will have a normalized water supply after the realization of this project, and the works of complete reconstruction of the water supply network in Gradačac have already started. Thanks to a grant from the Swedish Development Agency (Sida) and EU funds, this project will be successfully completed to the satisfaction of the residents of this municipality," said Bevanda.
Bevanda stated that cooperation with the EBRD has given results in many areas of life throughout BiH, and that he expected that new projects would be launched, and especially thanked the EU Delegation to BiH and Ambassador Johann Sattler for their engagement in connection with these projects, said the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.
