FENA Nermina Omerbegović

SARAJEVO, October 27 (FENA) - This year's National Library Awareness Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be marked for the fourth time, on October 30, and the partners in the event are the University of Sarajevo, the University of Mostar and the Bihać Cantonal Library.

This year's motto of the National Library Awareness Day is "Library without walls", and the focus groups are primary school students, from the first to the fourth grade.

“The aim of marking the National Library Awareness Day in BiH is to remind of the importance of library participation in building a knowledge-based society. The motto ‘Library without walls’ should remind us that libraries are not walls, but librarians. A librarian is a person who finds information,” said the coordinator of the Action Group of the National Library Awareness Day in BiH on behalf of the University of Sarajevo Nadina Grebović-Lendo.

Marking of the National Library Awareness Day in BiH 2020 at the University of Sarajevo is realized as a continuation of activities from the project ERASMUS + Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) - "Networked Library - Support Services: Modernization of Libraries in the Western Balkans through Staff Development and Reform library services ".
