SARAJEVO, October 28 (FENA) - Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadić participated in an online conference of prosecutors and experts specialized in prosecuting crimes in the field of trafficking in human beings and victims' support and protection.
Experts from the United States also participated in the workshop.
Prosecutors and experts discussed experiences in prosecuting human trafficking in various forms of victim exploitation. Jessica E. Hart, Director of the US Department of Justice's Office for Victims of Crime presented her experiences in terms of the judicial aspect of this problem, as well as activities that are being undertaken on the protection and care of victims, keeping data and records on registered victims of trafficking, as well as the efforts of states and governments to provide financial assistance to victims, and all other important issues in this area.
The meeting was organized by the US Department of Justice, with the support of the US Embassy in Sarajevo.
