SARAJEVO, November 2 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović received a letter of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Bosnia and Herzegovina Daniel Hunn.
Bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Swiss Confederation are very good, friendly and without open issues.
They discussed the importance of improving bilateral cooperation, especially economic and cultural, and in the field of trade. Emphasis was placed on projects in the field of economy, employment, health, and the development of democracy, which are supported by the Swiss Embassy in our country, the Presidency of BiH announced.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland have a lot in common because both countries are home to people who share a rich and diverse cultural heritage, and this is an advantage for both countries, it was pointed out during the meeting.
Chairman Džaferović expressed his gratitude to Switzerland, one of the largest donor countries in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for its assistance so far. Switzerland has supported the political, economic and social development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the statement said.
The importance of Switzerland's engagement through the Strategy of Cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which offers partnership and cooperation programs and is aimed at young people, their perspectives and opportunities, was also emphasized. The plan is to develop the next four-year Cooperation Strategy.
The Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation expressed his commitment and gave priority in his mandate to further strengthening the good relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland.
