EAST SARAJEVO, November 4 (FENA) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH (SIPA), in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS, started searches of persons, housing and businesses, within the international operational codenamed "Best" this morning at six locations in Zvornik, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of organized crime was committed in connection with the criminal offense of human trafficking.
The operation "Best" is a continuation of coordinated activities carried out in cooperation with police officers of the Service for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, aimed at dismantling an organized criminal group that smuggled migrants across the state border from May to October this year from Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
More information on the results of this operation will be known after the implementation of the orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SIPA said.
