SARAJEVO, November 8 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović congratulated Joe Biden on his victory in the US presidential elections.
"Dear Mr. Biden, I sincerely congratulate you on your victory and your election as the 46th President of the United States of America. The American citizens have decided that you will lead the United States of America in the next four-year term, and I deeply respect their decision. I firmly believe that the proven friendship between the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be further strengthened and improved because of your election.
You have been a sincere and proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina and you confirmed that during the period when you, as a senator, were strongly on the side of Bosnia and Herzegovina while it was being attacked, as well as during the period when you served as Vice President of the United States.
I am convinced that, with your experience and policies that symbolize freedom, democracy and human dignity, you will successfully respond to all the great challenges facing your great nation, and that your mandate will be marked by success.
I also believe that you and your administration will provide strong support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its Euro-Atlantic path and that together, we will continue to strengthen our friendship with the aim of ensuring lasting peace, stability, development of democracy and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire Western Balkans region.
I once again extend my sincere congratulations to you and to the citizens of the United States of America," wrote Džaferović in his congratulations.
