SARAJEVO, November 15 (FENA) - This was far more than the local elections today. This was a referendum, at least here in Sarajevo, it was a referendum about what kind of a country, in what kind of Bosnia and Herzegovina we want to live," said the president of Our Party Peđa Kojović after this political party, together with other parties of the Four, achieved great results in the local elections in BiH.
Kojović thanked the volunteers and members of the party, as well as the citizens who had the courage to go out and vote.
"I am proud and emotional at this moment because the citizens of Sarajevo have clearly and loudly, and by an unprecedented majority, said that they want to live in BiH where people do not want to be divided by ethnic pens but by human and professional qualities," said Kojović and introduced the new mayor of the Municipality Centar Sarajevo, Srđan Mandić.
"Good evening Bosnia and Herzegovina, good evening my dear Sarajevo. My name is Srđan Mandić and I am the new mayor of the Municipality Centar," said Mandić, thanking colleagues from the parties of the Four: the People and Justice Party (NiP), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Independent List for Bosnia and Herzegovina (NBL).
"Now it would be fair to say that this was an honest campaign, but unfortunately it was not. It was perhaps the dirtiest so far. It was very brutal, and from this moment on I will forget about it. And I forgive every ugly spoken word because I want to believe that it did not come from the hearts of these people," said the new mayor of Centar Srđan Mandić.
On this occasion, Mandić said that he would be the municipal mayor of all citizens, especially for those who did not vote for him and who had some doubts about who he was.
"I am a child of this city and I will be the mayor of all citizens living in the municipality of Centar," said Mandić.
