SARAJEVO, November 17 (FENA) - Director of the BiH Border Police Zoran Galić and Head of the Office for Professional Standards and Internal Control Vladimir Popović, also a coordinator for cooperation with the EXBS Program of the US Government, received the former EXBS Program Coordinator Darko Ivić in a farewell visit.
At the meeting, they discussed active cooperation between the BiH Border Police and the US Government. Namely, it is known that the US Government, through the EXBS Program (Export Control and Related Border Security Program), has been continuously supporting the work and development of the BiH Border Police for years, through training for police officers, donated specialist equipment, protective equipment to combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus and others, it is said in the statement of the BP BiH.
Those present at the meeting assessed the cooperation so far as very successful, and Director Galić thanked Mr. Ivić, who greatly contributed to the Border Police having significant support from EXBS, which resulted in more efficient and better border control and border checks.
"Since the establishment of the BiH Border Police, the United States Government has supported the development of this police agency, with the goal of operational strengthening. I wish EXBS Program Coordinator Darko Ivić good luck and success in his new job and I thank him for his engagement in EXBS and I sincerely hope that the US Government through EXBS will continue to support the BiH Border Police in the form of training and equipment, as it was the case in the previous years ", said the Director of GP BiH Zoran Galić.
