BELGRADE, November 26 (FENA) - Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia arrested a Moroccan citizen S. E. D. (1989), suspected of killing a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina J. B. on November 17 in Ilidža, near Sarajevo.
Based on the joint work and exchange of information between the Sarajevo and Belgrade police, the suspect was located and arrested in a hostel in Belgrade, where he allegedly hid in order to escape to one of the countries in the region, the Serbian Interior Ministry said.
Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade will detain the suspect for up to 48 hours due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he had committed the criminal offense of murder.
The procedure of extradition of the suspect to the competent authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina is in progress.
