SARAJEVO, November 27 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) calls on all state institutions and agencies to intensify their activities in resolving the migrant crisis, given that, with the arrival of cold winter days, the situation threatens to turn into a humanitarian and social catastrophe.
“Not all the burden of resolving the migrant crisis can be shifted to one ministry and one minister - BiH Minister of Security Selmo Cikotić, but the entire institutional system, based on its powers and obligations, must be involved and provide support. The entire Council of Ministers of BiH has a special responsibility in managing the migrant crisis, which is obliged to resolve this issue in cooperation with other levels of government in BiH, the SDA points out.
They are asking the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to engage the Armed Forces of BiH to secure the eastern border of BiH, in order to stop the influx of new migrants.
Further delay and avoidance of the introduction of this measure, which is supported by Džaferović and Komšić, and opposed by Dodik, can no longer be justified by anything, it is pointed out.
“We ask the Ministry of the Interior at the FBiH and cantonal levels to more effectively relocate migrants from the streets and public areas and to cooperate with the IOM and the Service for Foreigners to prevent their arbitrary exit from accommodation facilities and thus preserve public order and peace, as well as personal and property security of citizens.
We ask the BiH Council of Ministers and the European Union delegation to provide accommodation for migrants, and we demand that the Council of Ministers draw up a plan for the accommodation of migrants in such a way that the burden of the crisis is distributed to both entities and all cantons.
