Turković at TRT World Forum: Hindered cooperation due to COVID pandemic

SARAJEVO, December 2 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković participated in the TRT World Forum yesterday, where a number of important global topics were discussed.

Minister Turković, together with the Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas, Harvard University Professor Joseph S. Nye, the spokesperson of the President of the Republic of Turkey İbrahim Kalın and the founder of "FutureMap" Parago Khanna, was a panelist of the session "Multipolarity in COVID-19: The Future of Global Solidarity".

She spoke about how inter-state cooperation between the Western Balkan states and between them and the rest of Europe was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I firmly believe that the relations between the countries of the Western Balkans, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, are still a relevant topic, where regional cooperation, cultural cooperation and the development of relations among young people and their connection are important issues," said Turković.

She pointed out that cooperation in the field of economy, modernization and achieving the goals of sustainable development and prosperity of the citizens of Southeast Europe, but also cooperation between the European Union and the Western Balkans has been impeded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
