SARAJEVO, December 4 (FENA) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vojin Mitrović, with the participation of representatives of the European Commission, the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, the Transport Community Secretariat and other relevant institutions, opened a working meeting on action plans Traffic communities.
The meeting takes place within three sessions: an action plan on road safety, a discussion on the implementation of the action plan for railways, and an action plan on facilitating transport operations.
The working meeting was also attended by the Director of the Transport Community Secretariat Matej Zakonjšek and the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and the Head of the Cooperation Department at the EU Delegation Richard Máša.
Minister Mitrović pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina give support to the activities carried out by the Permanent Secretariat, in order to implement the obligations assumed by the Agreement on the Establishment of the Transport Community.
“Today at the meeting we are initiating the implementation of regional action plans for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The adoption of these plans is of great importance after the European Commission presented in early October the Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans, worth nine billion euros for the period from 2021 to 2027 for investments in transport, energy, green and digital transformation,” Mitrović said.
