SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - The first regional meeting of young students and alumni of the Advanced Leadership Politics Institute (ALPI) implemented by the International Republican Institute gathered today more than 50 young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia, as well as representatives and activists of about 30 political parties.
Twenty-five years after the Dayton Peace Agreement, young people in the Western Balkans region are showing that joint political action and work is a recipe for progress, as there are many more themes and issues that unite them than separate them.
At the meeting, this group of young people shared regional experiences on how young people can profile themselves within their political options and how more young people can be elected to local and national parliaments and appointed to decision-making positions.
The first regional ALPI meeting was also attended by alumni who currently hold positions in state committees and parliaments.
At the end of the meeting, the young people agreed on the principles of work and committed themselves to active mutual cooperation in the coming period, ALPI announced.
