Čolpa: Loan arrangement with IMF should be condition for govt formation

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - The ruling coalition does not even want to 'negotiate' talks on establishing a government at the FBiH level, the only thing it will certainly talk about and agree on is a new loan, said Nihad Čolpa, a member of the FBiH House of Representatives.

As Čolpa said, the decimated government does not have the capacity, legitimacy or program of measures for economic recovery in the technical mandate, which could possibly justify the new indebtedness of the citizens.

“The scale of the crisis is best reflected in the fact that the Federation of BiH is the absolute world record holder without an elected government. I am afraid that giving up the talks for forming a government is a new ‘road map’ for the division of FBiH.

If the government is not soon established in accordance with the will of the voters in 2018, the current FBiH executive government could begin to deteriorate over time, which is probably the plan of those who want a divided country.

Based on the mentioned facts, it is clear that the formation of the Council of Ministers of BiH without the Federal Government is one of the historical political mistakes. I see a possible way out of the political crisis in FBiH in the fact that the FBiH Parliament conditions new indebtedness with the formation of a new FBiH government and a previously prepared plan for economic recovery,” said Čolpa.
