SARAJEVO, December 8 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković today talked with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU Special Representative, Ambassador Johann Sattler.
Ambassador Sattler presented Minister Turković with the document "Global Regime of Sanctions for Human Rights Violations", which was unanimously adopted by the EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Brussels yesterday.
As explained, the adopted mechanism implies criminal prosecution and punishment of all those responsible for human rights violations around the world, the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
Minister Turković and Ambassador Sattler also discussed the acceleration of Bosnia and Herzegovina's integration into the European Union, and the key priorities that BiH must meet in the coming period.
They also discussed the recent local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the upcoming elections in Mostar, which will be held in that city for the first time after 12 years.
The interlocutors agreed that it is extremely important for Bosnia and Herzegovina to have joined the Common Regional Market at the recent summit of the Berlin Process in Sofia, together with all the countries of the Western Balkans, which will accelerate BiH's European path.
Turković informed Ambassador Sattler about the current situation regarding the establishment of the Commission for the NATO integration process, for which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has completed all procedures.
The proposal to form a Commission was recently included on the agenda of the session of the Council of Ministers but was withdrawn for further consultations.
The two also discussed the problem of the migrant crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"It is necessary to involve all competent institutions in solving this problem, and it is necessary to alleviate the burden of the migrant crisis throughout the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Turković.
