Improvement of economic cooperation in the interest of BiH and France

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, December 9 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Bisera Turković received today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina Christine Toudic and wished her a successful mission and cooperation in BiH, expecting that the good relations between the two countries would be promoted in different areas.

Ambassador Toudic pointed out that her goal during her term is to improve relations between the two countries in certain areas, especially in the field of economy, and that she wants to work on a greater presence of French companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Turkovic welcomed this commitment and expressed hope that in the coming period, economic cooperation would be improved, which will be of interest to both countries.

She officially invited the French Foreign Minister to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given that there is already a positive response to this request, it was proposed that during the future visit, the Agreement on the Establishment and Activities of the French Agency for Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina is to be signed.

The current situation and consequences in both countries caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as vaccines against the coronavirus, were also discussed at the meeting, stated the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
