BIHAĆ, December 15 (FENA) - The City of Bihać and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Municipal Environmental and Economic Management Project - MEG, have procured a special vehicle for waste collection. The vehicle was handed over to the Public Utility Company "Komrad", and the City of Bihać and UNDP provided 150,000 KM each for this procurement.
“Partnership cooperation with UNDP in BiH has resulted in another quality project, which has strengthened the capacity of our city utility company. We are glad that in this way we are helping their successful business because cleaning vehicles and containers were previously procured,” said the Mayor of Bihać Šuhreta Fazlić.
The successful realization of the GIZ project, i.e. the procurement of containers for glass packaging, was also highlighted.
“Thanks to that, we have provided 60 containers for collecting glass packaging, which will of course be recycled later. We are really trying to improve the service of the citizens of Bihać to the maximum,” said the director of the Public Utility Company "Komrad" in Bihać, Mehura Selimović.
This was preceded by the successful cooperation between the Government of Una-Sana Canton and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on the realization of the project "Increasing the energy efficiency of public buildings".
