SARAJEVO, December 17 (FENA) - Ruling on the appeal filed by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the appeal filed by defense counsel for the accused Enver Buza, having held a public session, on 2 October 2020 the Appellate Division Panel of Section I for War Crimes issued a decision granting the appeal filed by defense counsel for the accused Enver Buza, quashed the judgment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 30 September 2019 and ordered a retrial, this time before the Appellate Division Panel.
The Trial Judgment of 30 September 2019 found the accused Enver Buza guilty of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 142 of the Criminal Code of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, as read with Article 30 of the same Code. The Trial Court sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment.
