SARAJEVO, December 24 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković received today the inaugural visit of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina Gholamrez Alimohammad Ghelichkhan.
Minister Turković expressed her gratitude to Iran and the people of this country for all the help in the past, but also for the support they are currently providing to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was pointed out at the meeting that the two friendly countries have no open issues, and that it is important to work on improving cooperation in various areas, especially in the field of economy.
The Minister emphasized the importance of holding bilateral consultations, connecting businessmen of the two countries, but also increasing trade.
Ambassador Ghelichkhan said that Iran supports the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the economy will be the focus of his work during his term. The current situation in Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina was also discussed at the meeting, as well as ways to improve relations between the two countries.
During the talks, the possibility of Minister Turković's visit to Iran next year was announced, the Public Relations Office of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
